Accessibility statement
Batel Jewelry attaches the utmost importance to providing equal and accessible service to persons with disabilities, and works to make the website and the shop accessible in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758–1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773–2013.

Website accessibility
The website was rebuilt in 2026 and meets the requirements of Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA, except for the known gaps detailed below. The website was designed according to the WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines at level AA, and its conformance was tested in September 2026. The adjustments made:
- Full keyboard navigation throughout the website, including the menu, search, cart, product gallery and forms; a visible focus indicator; a “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
- A hierarchical heading structure on every page, and alternative text descriptions (Alt) for product images.
- Color contrast that meets level AA requirements for text and buttons.
- Adaptation to screens of all sizes, and support for text enlargement up to 200%.
- The opening video on the home page is presented without sound and with a pause button, and does not play automatically for anyone who has set a reduced-motion preference. The scroll effects also respect this setting.
- A label for every form field, and error messages that are read aloud.
- Prices, buy buttons and size-selection guidance are labelled so that screen readers read them out in full.
- The website is in Hebrew, with right-to-left text direction.
What was tested: automated tests (Lighthouse Accessibility, score 98–100 on all page types), manual keyboard-navigation tests on the home page and on category, product and content pages, and tests of text enlargement to 200% on a phone, in September 2026.
Content not under our control: the checkout and payment pages are operated by the Wix platform, and their accessibility is Wix's responsibility. Some third-party components may be only partially accessible.
Known gaps: when text is enlarged to 200% on very narrow screens (320 pixels), the row of links at the bottom of the home page may require slight horizontal scrolling. We are working on this.
Despite our efforts, some parts of the website may not yet be fully accessible. If you encounter any difficulty, we would be glad if you contacted us, and we will deal with it promptly.
Shop accessibility — 64 Bilu St., Rehovot
- Step-free entrance to the shop.
- Disabled parking in the area of the shop. The nearby car park has stairs, so visitors arriving in a wheelchair are advised to park in the accessible parking on the street.
- Accessible toilets for people with disabilities in the nearby public space.
- A large identification sign for the shop.
